A Warm Fall Day Outfit: Swing Dress with a Sleeveless Jacket
I don’t know about you guys, but Fall weather has been off to a slow, warm start around here. Some mornings are chilly, but then warm up to be in the mid 70s by the time I have to pick my son up from school. This means we are all about the layers. This outfit is perfect for days like that. You can wear it with some block heels like I did, with closed (or open) toed brown booties, or even add some black tights with black booties to warm up the outfit.
This outfit, minus the shoes, is from an online boutique called Morning Lavender. If you love feminine style and haven’t checked them out, you really should! They carry really lovely, girlie clothing. Now on to the outfit! This black and white (note: it’s not a true white, it’s more light cream) swing dress is one of my new favorite things to wear this fall. It’s super soft, and really flattering. I’ve found that I can wear it alone or pair it with anything from a jean jacket, to a chunky sweater. You can find the dress here.
The sleeveless jacket, which I use more like a vest, is a dark “army” sort of olive green, is made of Tencel and is really silky feeling. It’s also really cute when paired with a t-shirt and some skinnies. Something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about purchasing, is that it wrinkles and spots pretty easily. Water marks (and an unfortunately run-in with my toddler’s mess free “invisible” marker) sent this beauty to the dry cleaners after only a wear or two. The jacket can be found here. My shoes are from Nordstrom, but are no longer available. You can find cute, similar ones here.
I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween! As always friends, thank you for reading! 💕~Lyssa
