Style Find: Nike Free Focus Flyknit 2 Training Shoes
Hi Friends! I took a short writing break (no reason, just enjoying the last few weeks of summer break with my boys), but I’m back!
With our Disney World trip coming up in a few days, and knowing how much walking I’ll be doing, I decided it was finally time to get rid of my old, worn out sneakers. They’ve served me well, but I probably should have replaced them ages ago. I wanted something lightweight, comfortable and colorful. My husband recently purchased some Nike Flyknit sneakers and really likes them, so I figured I’d give them a try.
With Nordstrom having a huge sale (it ended last week), I decided to see if they had any good deals on some and they did! They had this style shoe, in two colors, for around $30 off ($89.99 from $120). Unfortunately, they ran out of the color combo I wanted (they were grey and mint) and only had plain black & white left. I considered getting them, but as my sweet husband pointed it, if they were having a sale, other stores probably were too. Duh! Why didn’t I think of that?! Guess what, he was right!
I hopped over the the Nike site, and there they were. Not only on sale for the same amount but in 7 colors to choose from! YES! I went ahead and ordered this black, pink and bright blue combo.
I ordered them on a Wednesday evening and they arrived the following Monday. Not exactly Amazon or Nordstrom fast, but not too bad. The first thing that struck me as I opened the box, was how pretty and vibrant the colors were, followed by how light they seemed. The fabric covering the top is very knit-like.
The fabric has a good amount of stretch and molds to the foot. It feels like you’re wearing a sock with a solid sole. I find them really lightweight and to have pretty good arch support, but that’s never been an issue for me, so I can’t speak for those who require a lot of it. They also seem to be on the narrow side, so if you have a wider foot, this may not be the shoe for you. So far I’m really liking them, although the true test will come after a long day of exploring the happiest place on earth!
You can find them on the Nike website, here. I also really like their blush version, here. Not only are they still on sale, but Nike currently has a 20% code (SAVE20) for items currently on sale! Of course, this code came out RIGHT AFTER I ORDERED, but I’m not bitter…much. Sign up, for Nike+ and you get free shipping on top of that. Not bad!
As always friends, thank you for reading, and I hope you are enjoying the last few days (or weeks in our case) of summer break! ?~Lyssa
